Family Law & Succession / Estate Planning
We assist with divorce, maintenance and child support, custody and access arrangements, domestic violence protection orders, adoption, and separation agreements.
An uncontested divorce typically takes 4–6 months from filing to final decree. Contested matters vary depending on court schedules and complexity.
Legally, you can draft your own will, but a lawyer helps ensure the document meets legal requirements and avoids ambiguities that could delay probate.
Probate is the High Court process to prove a will’s validity and appoint an executor. It gives legal authority to distribute the estate.
The estate is distributed under the rules of intestacy. We can apply for a Grant of Letters of Administration and guide the family through the process.
Through proper estate planning, including wills, trusts, life insurance designations, and gifts, you can reduce delays and support smoother asset transfer.
Land & Property Law
We prepare and review Deeds of Conveyance, Deeds of Lease or Assignment, Mortgages, Powers of Attorney, and Declarations of Ownership, conduct title searches, and advise on land disputes.
It confirms legal ownership, identifies encumbrances, and reveals restrictive covenants, rights of way, mortgages, judgments, or other title concerns.
Yes. Registration protects ownership rights and is necessary to transfer good title.
Typical costs include stamp duty based on market value, registration fees, and sometimes Valuation Division certificates. Full cost estimates are provided before completion.
Either through probate or a vesting order where applicable. We handle probate or letters of administration and the subsequent conveyance to beneficiaries.
Contract & Commercial Law
We cover partnership, shareholder, and joint venture agreements, employment contracts, loan and promissory notes, supply and distribution agreements, and technology or service contracts.
Yes. Electronic signatures and digital contracts may be recognised where integrity and consent requirements are met.
Options include negotiation, mediation, or filing a claim for damages or specific performance. The best remedy depends on the agreement and facts.
Limitation periods vary depending on the matter, so legal advice should be sought promptly to avoid missing a deadline.
General & Practical
Bring relevant agreements, deeds, identification, correspondence, proof of payments, receipts, and any court documents or notices.
Fees depend on the nature and complexity of the matter. Some matters may be flat-fee, while others may be hourly or value-based. A quote is provided in advance.
